Job Summary
The Instrumentation adjunct instructor reports to the Business and Technology Department Chair or designee. The Instrumentation adjunct instructor's duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to classroom and lab instruction of safety, quality, equipment, instrumentation, and troubleshooting. Provide professional leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of curriculum, advise and recruit students, participate in professional development activities, maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, and work with the various administrative functions of the college. Performs other related work as assigned. Teaching assignment may include day and evening classes.
Minimum Qualifications
Five years of recent experience in the field or relevant teaching experience. Associate degree in relevant field preferred, but employment and/or teaching experience may be substituted for a portion of the education requirement. Ability to understand the teaching and evaluation methodologies used in the total instructional process. Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff members in a professional manner. Must demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of students from diverse backgrounds. Ability to plan, schedule, and manage projects and assignments. Ability to establish effective working relationships with others. Ability to clearly communicate. Must comply with established College rules and procedures.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Regularly required to stand, walk, speak, and see. The employee is occasionally required to sit, lift, push, pull and carry objects up to 50 pounds. The operation of appropriate tools is required.
