The Columbia University Department of Physics seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor in the area of experimental atomic, molecular, and optical physics. It is expected that the candidate will develop a vigorous independent research program, continuing the long Columbia record of forefront accomplishment in science. Applicants for this position must possess a doctoral degree in Physics or a related field and have demonstrated the ability to do pioneering experimental research as well as the promise of excellence in teaching and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
